Smart Targeting with Uber

As a "travel companion", the Gebrüder Heinemann brand is always on the lookout for innovative marketing strategies to provide customers with a better travel experience. Travellers should be addressed along the entire travel chain in order to let them experience the first real moment of their journey in the Heinemann shops at the airport. Thanks to Uber's new Journey Ads, we found a new and, above all, brand-appropriate way to get in touch with consumers on their way to the airport - and offer real added value in the process.

In order to reach travellers shortly before the POS, they were shown specially targeted advertising material with "Uber Journey Ads", with which they could take advantage of an attractive discount promotion.

The targeting was specifically aimed at travellers on their way to the airport who called an Uber. Upon arrival, participants were able to redeem their voucher directly at the Heinemann store.

The campaign, in partnership with Uber, was the first of its kind in the German market and an impressive case that confirmed the power of data, targeting and product.
